Nestled on Vietnam’s central coast, Hoi An and Da Nang enchant visitors with their rich history and diverse atmospheres.
Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts a charming Ancient Town adorned with ancient temples and iconic bridges, transforming into a lantern-lit haven at night.
Meanwhile, Da Nang, a bustling modern city, offers a dynamic urban landscape against the backdrop of beautiful beaches like My Khe. Together, these two destinations provide a captivating blend of history and modernity, making them essential stops for any traveler in Vietnam.

Getting here
Two ways of getting here by bus, train or airplane. I did a mix with bus and airplane, from Mui Ne to Dalat by bus and than an airplane to Da Nang.
BJJ

Yeah also Hoi An and Da Nang offers BJJ so no excuses to not train here.
In Hoi An there is a small gym where you will find a Renzo Gracie that offers Monday, Wednesday’s and Friday at 11am open mat. I went twice there to catch some rolls.
After the training you can eat something inside or enjoy a cold beer at the river.
The same gym you will find in Da Nang just a bit bigger. Around 45min by scooter easy to reach from Hoi An. Here you find a wider schedule and a bigger facility.
So if you are here let’s go and roll with them!!!

Food and drinks

Hoi An and Da Nang, both located in central Vietnam, offer a delightful array of culinary experiences. The food in this region is characterized by its balance of flavors, fresh ingredients, and diverse influences.
Banh Mi Phuong: Hoi An is famous for its delicious banh mi sandwiches, especially those from Banh Mi Phuong. They offer a variety of fillings, including grilled pork, pâté, and fresh herbs.
Banh Xeo: Vietnamese crispy pancakes filled with shrimp, pork, and bean sprouts, usually served with fresh herbs and a dipping sauce.
Both Hoi An and Da Nang have vibrant food scenes with a mix of traditional dishes and modern culinary innovations.
What to do
