The guys from Sardinia made it happen a winter camp in Belfast!

Northern Ireland wasn`t really on my bucket list but it was a good opportunity to visit the country.

Training with people from all over the world and enjoying seminars with high level black belts.

Training

March 2022, I went to Belfast for the winter camp. After a successful summer camp, I was totally hyped for this one.

Meeting some of the friends I made at the summer camp makes the whole thing even more interesting. First night after my arrival we all met in a pub downtown. Gabriel from Mexico which I will visit in my future journey, Milos, some of the Sardinians and the Briths were there. Only Justin who was supporting the organization was busy, so I met him the next day on the mat.

The camp was holden at RMNU Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy. The gym is a bit outside of the town. You can reach it by bus but I was very happy that Milos was there with his car.

Every day the schedule was more or less the same. we had a seminar and an open mat in the morning and the same in the afternoon.

The seminars were given by: Robson Mura, Jeff Michell, Ffion Davies, Chris Heerey, Marco Bancone, Daniele Pisu and Leonardo Santoro.

BJJ Gyms in Belfast: Gracie barra, New Ground, Kyoujin, Forge Grappling, Icon and SBG Belfast

Other stuff we did

Beside all the trainings I was able to check out the city of Belfast.

The camp was scheduled during the time when St. Partick`s day was. That night we had dinner in the oldest pub in the city. After diner we went on for a small pub hopping. What a crazy night that was.

At the end of the we there was a trip organized to the Giant`s Causeway and to the Dark hedges of Game of Thrones.
